A relaxed refined silhouette with a deep rise, generous thigh room, and a tapered leg from the knee to the hem, finished with a garment-dye overdye using binchotan charcoal.
Inspired by tailored trousers, the pattern is engineered around the structure of the human body, balancing comfortable wear with a refined silhouette.
Woven as unsanforized, untwisted, unsinged greige fabric and finished with a single wash.
The fabric retains the raw character of the cotton itself.
Fabric +
A blend of 65% U.S.-grown Memphis cotton, with a fiber length of 27.8mm that gives the fabric its distinctive body and supple hand, and 35% Zimbabwean cotton, with a fiber length of 28.6mm that balances softness and strength.
The fabric molds to the body and softens with wear.
Dye +
This signature 13.5oz OMOTO DENIM fabric is finished with a garment-dye overdye using binchotan charcoal — the same prized white charcoal favored by Japan's finest yakiniku and robata grill restaurants for its exceptional purity and clean-burning heat. Here it is repurposed as a fully natural dye, layered over the fabric's indigo base.
The result is a deep, quiet black with a soft, warm character of its own.
Indigo and charcoal-black coexist within the same cloth — at once black, and at once blue. With wear, the two colors draw closer together, fading into a pattern that belongs to this fabric alone.
Weave +
Woven on a uniquely modified 1950s "Sakamoto-style" shuttle loom, built to firmly beat in thick-gauge yarns. The warp is woven under extremely low tension, producing the coarse texture that defines how the fabric fades over time.
Every piece reflects the skill and dedication of artisans in Japan's Sanbi denim region.
