Inspired by tailored jackets, the design features patterns based on the structure of the human body, seamlessly blending functionality with sophisticated beauty, including precisely designed armholes, thoughtful back pleats, and a modern, adjusted collar size.

While following the design of a vintage jacket, the silhouette has been updated to a modern style. A pocket has been added at the waist, making it easy to use.

【 material】
It is made from 65 % Texas cotton, a raw cotton from the United States that is renowned for its strength and powerful color fading, and 35 % Zimbabwean cotton, which has a good balance of softness and strength.

【 staining】
Made using 100 % pure indigo and traditional rope dyeing techniques.
The surface of the yarn is dyed blue, but the yarn itself remains white. This “ white in the middle ” contrast creates a beautiful aging effect as the garment is worn.
It was created around 1990 and uses extra dark colors that create strong contrast fades.

[Weaving]
We use a 1950s "Sakamoto shuttle loom" that has been uniquely improved to allow thick threads to be firmly woven in. The warp threads are woven with extremely low tension, just like hand weaving, to achieve a rough texture that affects how the fabric ages.
The finished product is a concentrated expression of the skill and passion of the artisans of the Sanbi region.

[Finishing]
The woven fabric is only treated to prevent shrinkage, and is not twisted or singed to bring out the characteristics of the fabric. You can enjoy the strong color fading by wearing it in a rigid (unwashed) state.
